The system provides state- and county-level data for all 50 states, the
District of Columbia, and US territories and possessions. Data are available by
gender, race and ethnicity and come from a variety of national and state
sources. The system is organized into eleven main categories, including
demographics, mortality, natality, reproductive health, violence, prevention,
disease and mental health. Within each main category, there are numerous
subcategories.
Spotlight: September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
Ovarian cancer is one of several gynecologic cancers affecting females. Risk factors for ovarian cancer may include age and individual or family history of certain cancers, among other factors. 1 The symptoms of ovarian cancer may include pelvic or abdominal pain, urinary symptoms, and bloating, among other symptoms. 2
Quick Health Data Online offers different types of data related to ovarian cancer including information on:
- Ovarian cancer diagnoses,
- Ovarian cancer deaths,
- Single year and three year averages,
- Crude and age adjusted rates.
Data on the system are provided for women with race and ethnicity details to enable comparisons between different population groups.

What's New, August 2010
The 2010 Edition of the Health Disparities Profiles is now available. The Profiles present 21 health indicators that are being measured regularly at the state level and which highlight some of of the key areas related to health disparities among different populations. The Profiles is a statistical resource on population health for different racial and ethnic populations in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands and was developed to provide readers with an easy-to-use collection of current state data on critical issues of relevance to population health.
What's New, May 2010
The 2010 Edition of the Women's Health and Mortality Chartbook is now available. The Chartbook presents 27 health indicators, which highlight some of the key issues related to women's health that are being measured regularly at the state level. The Chartbook is a statistical resource on women's health in each of the states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands and was developed to provide readers with an easy-to-use collection of current state data on critical issues of relevance to women.
